When Fear Tarnishes Faith By Gene McGuire (Sunday, July 1, 2007)

“For God did not give us a spirit of craven, cringing fear, but He has given us a spirit of power and of love and a calm and well-balanced mind with discipline and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7 Amp. Bible)

 

COMMENT: When Jairus was told that his daughter had died, Jesus told him to “FEAR NOT, ONLY BELIEVE.” (Luke 8:50) The Lord wanted him to continue to walk by faith. Isn’t that what we, as Christians, are suppose to do? (Galatians 3:11)  Today He has the same message for the believer. Let us continually remind ourselves that one of the wonderful attributes of our blood-bought Salvation is SAFETY. We are not to fear natural disasters, terrorists, or even ”home grown” violence. Since Almighty God is for us, who can be against us?(Romans 8:31)
