WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING LIKE THESE DAYS?

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

COMMENT: I heard a very interesting story on a Christian program called “Leading the Way” and I want to share it with you. During the California Gold Rush a group of miners had been working for many months without any success. Finally, one day they struck a very rich vein and were overwhelmed with joy. It was necessary for them to go back to town to get the equipment needed to extract their precious metal. They got together and each vowed that they would tell no one about their good fortune; they didn’t want to share it with anyone outside their circle. The needed equipment was purchased, but our miners found that they had a lot of unwanted company as they headed back to their secret site. They were informed that they drew that crowd because of the look of excitement and anticipation on all of their faces. Are peace and joy manifest in your demeanor as you serve the Lord, showing that you have found a treasure much more precious than gold. . . . Jesus in your heart? Do your relatives and friends feel compelled to “follow you” to inherit the Kingdom of God for themselves?

SCRIPTURE STUDY: Matthew 5:13-16

WISE SAYING: KEEP YOUR LIGHT SHINING BRIGHT, AND LEAD OTHERS TO THE LIGHT. (gene mcguire).
