If you’re here to seek Godly Wisdom…it would be wise to ask yourself and everyone that you know: “Are you ready?”
What’s your answer? This is a powerful video…I warn you………..
* Video Titled: Are you ready?
Editor’s Note: I apologize that I cannot tell you who produced this powerful video that has been viewed by well over 6 million people so far. It’s 57 seconds long!
“And Abraham said, ‘My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering’; so they went both of them together. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh; as it is said to this day, in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.” Genesis 22:8, 14
COMMENT:Each morning, If God were to whisper into your ear everything that will happen that day, would you be happy with that arrangement? Well, I don’t know how you feel, but I think this would lead to a very boring existence. To me, it is so much better to put my life in the hands of My Heavenly Father, anticipating the wondrous things he will bring about daily. For instance, in our Lead Scripture, God had a ram caught in a thicket at the place where He had commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. The ram became the substitute sacrifice. Abraham named that place Jehovah-jireh (jeh-ho-vaw’ yir-eh’), the God who sees and the God who provides. Each day He goes before us and gives us favor with people and circumstances. I don’t want to miss out on the excitement and anticipation. I yearn to see how God will bless me and how He will use me to bless others. What do you think?
SCRIPTURE STUDY: Isaiah 40:31, Habakkuk. 3:19 and Romans 8:31
WISE SONG LYRICS: NO MATTER THE STORMS THAT COME MY WAY. NO MATTER THE TRIALS I MAY FACE. YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULD SEE ME THROUGH, SO I WILL TRUST IN YOU.
The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, him I will not endure.” (Psalm 101:5b)
COMMENT: How many of you looked at the Winter Olympics? I understand that the TV program, “American Idol”, did a job on that event. Personally speaking, I can’t wait until the football season comes! However, there were some developments in the winter games that were of interest, namely, the feud between two speed skaters. Shani Davis and Chad Hedrick went at each other tooth and nail throughout the games. I believe that both were infected with the ‘malady” that was mentioned in our Lead Scripture, pride. In Saturday’s Washington Times Chad gave us proof positive by the statement he made after winning the silver medal in the 10,000 meters race. Here is his comment: “My heart is bigger than anyone else out there. If another skater had felt like I did today, he wouldn’t have been on the podium. That’s just me refusing to lose.” When God gives us the strength and the wherewithal to accomplish great things, we must never look inward, look upward and gave the Lord the glory.
Scripture Study: Psalm 119:21, Proverbs 6:16,17, 21:4, 28:25
WISE SAYING: DON’T TAKE THE CREDIT FOR WHAT GOD HAS DONE. DON’T FOOL YOURSELF, IT’S THE WORK OF THE SON! (gene mcguire)
“. . .work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” (Phillippians 2:12)
COMMENT: Here on the Atlantic Coast we have had a rather mild winter. The exception came a few weeks ago when we got about 9 inches of snow in the Washington DC Area. It is interesting how it started. It seemed as if the storm, like so many other predictions of late, would not live up to it’s expectations. The flakes were so small but they were steady. They finally turned the grass white before I went to bed thinking :”The weather man goofed again or maybe the meteorologist was like the one in Roanoke, VA who was fired for being on drugs.” Well, those “puny” flakes fell continuously and steadily all night long and when I woke up, just seven short hours later, that 9 inch prediction had become a reality. If your spiritual journey seems to be moving at a snail’s pace and progress appears to be almost nonexistent, keep on keeping on! Take a tip from the snow flakes by persistently renewing your mind with God’s Word, pray without ceasing, persevere in your confessions of His promises and have faith that “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
SCRIPTURE STUDY: Phillippians 2:13-18
WISE SAYING: A LITTLE EFFORT APPLIED PERSISTENTLY AND CONTINUOUSLY OVER A PERIOD OF TIME WILL RESULT IN EVENTUAL VICTORY.
“And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: ” The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Luke 4:17-19 (New King James Version) COMMENT: Yesterday I talked about Cleansing Stream and the effect it had on my life. Cleansing Stream is a deliverance ministry. Now, when some hear the word deliverance they hear banjos and others may think of spinning heads. In reality, anyone that has accepted Jesus as Lord has been “delivered” from the penalty of sin. Most believers carry “extra baggage” from the past into their Christian walk. Although we have been perfected through His work on the cross, there is still work to be done as we are being sanctified (Heb. 10:14). Don’t think that this work goes unchallenged by the enemy. As I learned firsthand by going through the process, Cleansing Stream is a good tool to “deliver” us from the effects of the enemy’s fiery darts. I thought that I could pull out any dart the enemy shot at me and took “offense” when my brother tried to tell me about Cleansing Stream. Are you proud that you don’t have any darts stuck in your shield of faith? Check out Proverbs 13:10 and then join me in the freedom “delivered” by Cleansing Stream!
SCRIPTURE STUDY: Ephesians 4:27; Ephesians 6:12; 2 Timothy 2:2
WISE SAYING: When God sets a table for me in the presence of my enemies I still have to choose to sit down and eat
