THE MESSAGE BIBLE IS MORE CLEAR:

Seven Things God Hates

16-19 Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:
eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.  PROVERBS 6

———————————————————————————————————————————————–

It is really easy to sin.  Look around you.  But, amongst the brethern who know better, it’s easy too if you aren’t careful.

The devil will find a way to get you in a bad place.  He’ll even convince you that your sin is alright; that it is an exception.

Examples:

Arrogant Eyes

He’ll make you think:  “I’m this!  I’m that!  I’ve done this!  I’m better than them.”  Don’t believe it.   That can cause arrogant eyes…ever so subtle.  It can be sen  in churches:  “I’ve been here this long…how long have youuuuuuuuuuu been here?”

A Lying Tongue…

Lying tongues are all around; all the time.  It’s contagious; pretty soon if you are not careful you’ll be exaggerating  ..I mean lying too.  Don’t join the liar’s club.  That’s a group of people who lie and they all know it but it’s okay.  It seems like such a trivial thing; but it’s not.  Ever met someone who has everything going for them except they make up huge whoppers?  I have.  If it’s not the total truth…it’s a lie!

Hands that murder the innocent…

Aside from the obvious, people in authority have a great responsibility…have you false accused someone, framed someone, lied about someone ruining their life or altering the course that God has for them? Have you ignored a  move in your spirit to help someone, minister to them, are your hands completely clean?

A Heart That Hatches Evil Plots

Perhaps you’ve been wronged and you want revenge…back out of it!  Vengeance belongs to God.  Tell no lies, create nothing unjustified against another, be right with God, forgive; lest that thing get mired down in your spirit causing you to think or be involved in the unthinkable!

Feet That race Into Mischief

Don’t let your feet put you in quicksand.

A mouth that lies under oath

Watch what you swear to or what you’ve sworn to.  I know people who swear to uphold this country; yet they undermine it in little small ways.  Have you been to court lately?  Well,  witnesses lie so much that they have to make them sit outside the courtroom while testimony goes on because that’s the only way the truth can be sorted.

A TROUBLEMAKER IN THE FAMILY

Many families have troublemakers.  Is it you?  This is not acceptable to God.  Are you a rumor started or do you sow negative discord?  If yes…you BETTER stop!

God loves you, but don’t make Him hate what you do; lest you be an abomination in His sight.  If you’ve missed the mark, please repent and ask Him to strengthen and heal you of these bad habits and transgressions.

Now Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers. . .” (Genesis 37:5)
COMMENT: Well folks, I am sorry if I have misled you; from the Lead Scripture you probably thought that I was going to discuss Joseph and his dreams. However, I just used that verse as a lead-in to tell you about an interesting and perplexing dream I had the other night.

All I remember was the following phrase: “What three things did Peter say?” My first thought was: “Peter was so talkative; his mouth was always open and that often led to his chagrin.(John 13:37) How can I pick out three statements out of all of that verbiage?”. Then the thought came to me . . . .”What were the three most important things that Peter said?” Now you may disagree with me, but here is my list in the order of importance. #1 “And Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16)  #2 – And he (Peter) said to Him (Jesus) “Lord You know all things; You know that I love You.” (John 21:17b) #3 – “Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Lord how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’ “(Matthew 18:21,22)
Please let me know if your TOP THREE are different from mine.
SCRIPTURE STUDY: Matthew 6:12, Ephesians 5:23 and 1 John 4:19
WISE SAYING: PETER SAID SOME THINGS THAT CAUSED HIM PAIN, BUT IN THE END IT ALL WAS GAIN. (gene mcguire)
